Site Supervisor

WNC Roofing is a well-established North Carolina Commercial Roofing & Construction Company. We are committed to excellence in customer satisfaction. We are seeking a Site Supervisor who prides themselves on integrity, self-regulation and is deadline orientated. With each project, this individual will be counted on to drive the excellence we are known for.

This is a field position with limited time in office:  

JOB OBJECTIVES:  

  • Thoroughly plan out project phases to minimize labor inefficiencies and wise use of materials.
  • Ensure that all work is completed in strict compliance of OSHA and manufacturer specifications.
  • Confirm that the correct materials are onsite before they are needed and stored properly.
  • Keep Project Manager informed of any jobsite challenges immediately for resolution 
  • Train and provide direction to team members and subcontractors on proper application of roof system specifications.
  • Report proactively back to Project Manager with any challenges and proposed solutions.

Daily/Monthly Tasks  

  • Create and update the Project Manual for each assigned project.
  • Supervise field personnel: WNC Roofing team members and subcontractors.
  • Report proactively back to Project Manager with any challenges and proposed solutions. 
  • Complete and upload Daily Reports & Photos in Field Wire.
  • Ensure all equipment and tools are stored appropriately.
  • Ensure nightly tie-ins are installed correctly.
  • Adhere to OSHA safety requirements and oversee team members and subcontractors for safe work practices.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Minimum 2 years Construction site supervision experience.
  • Minimum 4 years Construction experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. 
  • Valid state driver’s license (in good standing) is required.
  • Verifiable References.

Senior Repair Technician - Asheville, NC

WNC Roofing is growing and we are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Roof Repair Technician to lead our Repair Team. You will work with the Head of Service and our valued customers by responding to repair calls. Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 3 years of construction experience, with at least 1 year of commercial roofing systems.
  • Experience with Single Ply, Liquid Applied, Metal, and Shingles.
  • Desire to stay current with the latest commercial roofing knowledge.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, problem solve, and think outside of the box.
  • Possess a strong work ethic.
  • Be presentable and professional with clients and colleagues

Salary: $25.00-30.00 / hour DOE

Estimator - Entry Level

We are currently seeking an entry-level Commercial Construction Estimator who is organized and detailed oriented. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency with Excel & AutoCAD is required. We are seeking intelligent, motivated individuals with a high level of mechanical aptitude, who learn quickly and take pride in a job well done. Training will be provided.

Key Objectives & Responsibilities:

  • Assess building conditions, write a detailed proposal, and create a Job Cost itemizing all materials
    and labor costs.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and project specification manuals.
  • Work with Engineers & Architects to ensure that all proposed materials and construction methods meet their requirements and comply with all manufacture installation requirements.
  • Source materials & negotiate pricing with suppliers.
  • Become proficient with construction details, estimate materials and labor costs for roofing; wood & metal framing; welding; painting; and other related work.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Extremely high attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and project specification manuals.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and drafting programs such as AutoCAD, Fusion 360, or SolidWorks.
  • Must have a valid state driver’s license with driving record that meets Company Insurance
    Standards.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or other technical equivalent work experience
    preferred.
  • 1-2 years of construction experience preferred.
