Job description

The Site Supervisor (SS) is responsible to oversee subcontract labor, project manuals, safety, and materials for each assigned job. The SS is solely responsible for ensuring proper supervision and management of all aspects of the Construction process and Job Site. Ensuring all work is completed to OSHA and manufacturer Specifications. The SS will report directly to the Project Manager.

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt.

Duties Include:

• Maintain the Project Manual.
• Oversee all job site materials delivery, including staging and quality checks.
• Ensure needed equipment is on site and stored appropriately.
• Supervise field personnel: WNC Roofing team members and subcontractors.
• Hold Safety Briefing with Job Site Labor.
• Schedule updates for the project manager/project coordinator with any challenges or changes.
• Complete and upload Daily Reports & Photos in Field Wire.
• Ensure nightly tie-ins are installed correctly.
• Review project Specifications with Project Manager and Estimator.
• Meet with the Client and conduct Pre-Construction Survey.
• Participate in Post-Site Survey Meetings to finalize job cost with

HoEE and Project Manager.

• Determine if all requirements are met for the job to proceed.
• Manage project schedule and budget adherence.
• Hold daily meetings with Subs/Staff to communicate pace of work.
• Finalize Edge Measurements.
• Test Welds
• Ensure projects stay clean and organized.
• Oversee Job Completion procedures with client, PM and PC.
• Work with the CFO to close all remaining change orders and finalize

Job billing.

• Attend Post-Mortem Meeting with WNCR Staff.

Project Oversite:

• Adhere to OSHA safety Requirements and oversee team member and subcontractors for safe work practices.
• Think ahead to determine risks, delays, and the well-being of team members
• Thoroughly plan out project phases to minimize labor inefficiencies and use of materials.
• Work Coordination and control. Keep the work moving in time with schedule.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of construction (site supervisor) experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
• A valid state driver’s license (in good standing) is required.
• Verifiable references.

Additional Skills Needed:

• Ability to handle 32’ foot ladder and ability to climb/navigate up to 40’ ladder.
• Ability to lift some heavier objects independently.
• Must be comfortable with high roof work.

WNC Roofing is seeking a Commercial Roofing Estimator & Surveyor who will play a pivotal role in the project planning and execution process. The primary responsibilities will include accurately estimating project costs, conducting thorough roof surveys, and providing valuable insights to our project management.

Key Objectives & Responsibilities:

Perform Site Surveys:

• Identify roofing issues onsite primarily on low-slope roofs (i.e. leaks, damage, and potential structural problems)
• Accurately gather and document information for clients and internal team
• Efficiently manage appointments and interface with clients in a clean and professional manner

Create Estimates and Write Proposals:

• Write proposals detailing all work to be performed including labor costs and materials relying on significant hands-on experience
• Calculate precise project costs by analyzing project specification manuals, blueprints, and other relevant documents
• Understanding the inner workings of commercial roof systems including TPO, EPDM, PVC, SBS Hot, SBS Cold, Standing Seam
• Communicate efficiently with site Architects and Engineers to ensure that all proposed material and construction methods meet their requirements and comply with all manufacture installation requirements
• The job consists of approximately 40% fieldwork and 60% desk work

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Must be able to independently set up and climb extension ladders.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Extremely high attention to detail.
• Strong math, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and a drafting program such as AutoCAD, Fusion 360, or SolidWorks.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license with a driving record that meets Company Insurance Standards.

Education and Experience:

• Experience in commercial roofing estimation and surveying: 2 years experience required
• Estimating TPO & PVC roofs: 1 years experience required
• Hands-On Carpentry/Construction: 2 years experience required
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Xactimate, RoofCAD, etc.
• Strong knowledge of various roofing systems and materials.
• Excellent understanding of construction codes and regulations.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in estimating.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
