School Roof and Gutter/Downspout Replacement

We performed a roof replacement for this school’s main building and gym in Hendersonville, NC and even did some repairs on the church building too.

The main building replacement was a tear down to the base roof (North Carolina Building Code Section 1511.3.1.1 allows no more than 2 roofs), we extended the vent pipes to meet code requirements of 8″ above finished roof deck, and installed new polyiso insulation (R-17.4) and Carlisle white 60 Mil TPO roof membrane. Tapered crickets at HVAC curbs and between drains to make sure water properly flows to drains.

The Gym had a main roof that we installed TPO over. The two smaller roofs, we tore those down to the decking and replaced with new Polyiso insulation and installed new Carlisle white 60 Mil TPO roof membrane. All penetrations were flashed properly with matching Carlisle TPO and appropriate pipe boots..

Further, The whole building recieved new heavy duty 24-gauge commercial grade 7” box gutters and placed expansion joints every 50ft. New Matching 24-gauge 4″x7″ downspouts with support brackets were also installed with drip edge above gutters. ANSI/SPRI ES-1 specified snap edge fascia was also installed where needed. All the metal was color matched to the same blue.

We also included 20 Year Carlisle Labor & Material Warranty, 2 Year Workmanship Warranty, and 2 Year Service Agreement (One visit per year, Two men one day with Material)

During the install, repair crews worked on metal that had blown off during Hurricane Helene. It took some large man lifts and a crane to reach the tall sections.
